AIM: An investigation into how a Sensation of Horror is created in games
I have decided my game will be a “Horror” themed game which will first take place in a “Dinning Room” where you will be able to explore the cabin and hopefully escape.
Audio

My first Initial Ideas relating to audio would be adding “Jump Scares“. This will be the main focus since I am designing a horror game. I will also add audio such as, floor boards creaking, footsteps and heavy breathing.
The type of music I might add is ominous music, not necessarily genuine music but ominous sounds to keep the player in the game. However, there will be actual music added to the game mainly when the player is being chased by the enemy.
Visual

My visual ideas would be to make it a very realistic environment mainly related to “Resident Evil 7“. I will also add “Special Effects” such as little explosions when jump scares come in. I will add “3D” animations such as, NPC’s walking and attacking. “2D” animations I will add to the game is light flickering, ghosts and more.
Interaction

The types of interactions I will add is being able to turn on and off a flash light, opening doors, triggering jump scares, swapping between equipment, sprinting and a lot more.
