Creating and Importing a Camera Frame

I decided that adding a “Camera Frame” into the game will greatly show the comparison and inspiration I have got from both games and also add realism.

I used “Photoshop” in order to create this frame. I created an “Artboard” through Photoshop because it automatically changes the background to “Transparent” and accurately gets the size of the screen to fit into my project when imported into Unreal Engine.

I then imported the Camera Frame as a widget in Unreal Engine

I next created a component which made it so the widget would permanently stay on the screen.

At first, this was going to be the final look. However, I believed that it didn’t look as realistic as I wanted it to. So I decided to edit the Camera Frame.

I decided to add a crack to the frame of the camera in order to create an idea to the player that the character is most likely somewhere where they shouldn’t be.

I “ReImported” the widget to Unreal Engine, updating the previous widget that was first imported into Unreal.

This is the final image of the “Camera Frame”.
